And my desktop is clear - waiting for next week's project.

Yes, the all-consuming DMI paper is finished, though not yet submitted. It's over the word limit by 224 words, but removing any more would entail re-writing the paper.  (I just hope the oniine submission process doesn't do an automatic word count.)

Now on to finer lthings. One is planning the gathering of the clan next month. There's a move afoot to go out to dinner - all in the interest of practicing behaviors for London-2013.  So Jack and I need to conduct site visits. Last night it was to S&P Oyster House, by the drawbridge in Mystic (the opposite side from the Drawbridge Ice Cream Shop). We saw the bridge go up twice, and the food was good, though the room was noisy and service poor.  We plan to try somewhere else next week.

After two good sails the wind became "Indian" - "A-pache here, A-pache there" - so no more sailing.  If we can manage another sail tomorrow we will catch up with last year's schedule, where the launch was 10 days earlier. (To see sailing photo, go to Facebook).

The lettuce patch is thriving - I pick a few leaves every day. Too bad we haven't got the umbrella up so we can eat on the deck -- a vital part is missing.  Tomorrow we plan a full-scale search for it.
