GREAT!

as in Barrier Reef. Incredible corals stretching for over 2000 kilometers. No, we didn't snorkel the whole length, just a very small portion about 50 miles offshore from Port Douglas, some distance north of Cairns (don't pronounce the R). We saw more varieties of coral than I even thought existed, plus great fields of blue staghorn coral and a number of giant clams with open blue lips. By contrast, the fish life was poor, but thats only relative - there were many small colorful fish grazing in and around the corals.

By the way, did I tell you we had a great time?
